Joey Tomaska
is a lifelong, dedicated musician with a passion for teaching.
He graduated from Loyola University Chicago, becoming the very first to graduate with a bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance in Music. While in school, he was in multiple choirs, an a cappella group, and even formed a barbershop quartet. Singing is just one of many instruments, such as guitar, he has played since the age of 9.
Guiding students to make better sense of music's more complicated areas has always been his mission. Learning should be fun and full of excitement, and that's exactly the philosophy Joey brings to the classroom.

As a singer, you are the instrument. The mind and body play a key role in your success as a vocalist. With that in mind, we will work to increase your confidence in your sound, all while developing your technical skills!
As a banjo picker, you are playing one of the most classic instruments of America's past. The whimsical, carefree tones from the banjo will leave you with a wide smile and beat-tapping feet.
As a guitar player, you are the cornerstore of nearly every band to exist. Whether you're playing electric or acoustic, there's no other instrument on earth as loved and widely known as the guitar.
As a piano player, you take part in the music the likes of which were played by Mozart and Bach. In modern times, you are often most responsible for giving each song a backbone, cultivating the tonal center of the piece.
